Prayer Board Parties and Divine Appointments: Q2 and Looking Ahead!

ree

Tis the season for collaboration! Hey Prayer Closet warriors, I hope you're all doing well. Can you believe June 30th marks the end of the second quarter of this year? šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’Ø Time is flying by—how are you making the most of it?

I began by mentioning that this is the season for collaboration because that's exactly what God is doing with many of His children right now. Bringing us together to advance the kingdom and fulfill our assignments here on the earth.

Last Friday, I had the privilege of collaborating with Tara Register Curry, a remarkable woman of God. Tara wears many hats including community leader, life coach, author, wife, mom, pastor, parent advocate, facilitator, teacher, and change agent!

In 2020, following George Floyd's death, Mrs. Tara initiated Mothers Raising Black and Brown Boys (MR3B). This organization aims to educate and empower mothers in our communities by enhancing parenting skills, fostering effective communication, and emphasizing civic engagement. MR3B encourages mothers to actively participate in their communities, promoting health and wellness. They advocate for awareness of issues impacting black and brown boys and strive for positive change to safeguard their well-being and restore community vitality.

Mrs. Tara and I have known each other for quite some time now, and our connection began through her amazing daughter, Stephanie Crawford. If you scroll down a few posts and read 'I had to release my son to God,' you'll see that she actually conducted Jiraiya's christening in 2021. šŸ˜šŸ˜©ā¤ļø

Okay, let me focus because writing that almost brought tears to my eyes, and ya’ll know I’ll shed a tear real quick, lol.

Anyway, back in December, when I went before God asking for guidance and clarity on my business plan and strategy for 2024, He outlined what I would be doing in each month. And this year, He made it clear that I would be collaborating with other people and specifically saying, Mrs. Tara would be one of the people.

Now, on my calendar, I had written down that our collaborations would be happening in May because that's what I heard Him say. Once a month I do workshops unless He tells me otherwise. So, at the end of April, when I sought God's guidance to get the exact details including the title, topic, date, and location — He provided clear direction. And also told me to reach out to Mrs. Tara about collaborating, So I did.

He instructed me to host a Prayer Board Party, despite never having made a Prayer Board before and facing intense challenges in my prayer life. The enemy's attacks on my belief in prayer and God hearing and responding to my prayers was heavy. This made it even more crucial for me to go forth. And It wasn’t just for myself; it was for the other women whom God was bringing into the room, facing similar challenges in their prayer life/relationship with God. God said, "Tash, I need you to be my vessel to help your sisters. Cast down every negative thought, align your prayers with my word and stand firm on it.ā€

When I spoke with Mrs. Tara back in May, we didn't get the chance to collaborate, but I still hosted the Prayer Board Party. I was a bit confused because I thought I had misunderstood God about collaborating. It wasn’t that I misunderstand Him about collaborating, my timing was just off. Because after hosting the first Prayer Board Party in May, God instructed me to do another one in June. When I posted the flyer, Mrs. Tara texted me and said, ā€œGood Morning... I host our Mothers Raising Black & Brown Boys event each month and our meeting falls on the same day as you Prayer BoardĀ Ā party. Can we collaborate? We can have it here (my office), I will supply food , open it up to our Mom's and you can invite your people?Ā Ā I just saw your post about and heard in spirit.. collaborateā€ šŸ˜šŸ™ŒšŸ¾šŸ”„

The wild part about this is, before receiving her text I had originally scheduled the 2nd Prayer Board Party for June 22nd on my calendar, but Abba instructed me to switch the date to the 21st. I almost didn't post the flyer on the day He told me to because I realized I hadn't sent an email to reserve the usual room I use. I hesitated, thinking to myself ā€œI’ll wait until the room is securedā€, but the Holy Spirit interrupted my thoughts and said, ā€œpost it anyway, Trust me."

Immediately after posting it, I had a vision of myself packing up my car, and I heard the Lord say, "You won't be having it at your usual spot anyway." I was like, ā€œHuh???? …Well Sir where is this happening thenā€ LOL. About 3 hours later that’s when I got her text! Isn’t God good!

As we look ahead to the end of the second quarter, let's continue to trust in God's divine timing and guidance. Ask him who is he calling you to collaborate with this year. He will orchestrate the right collaborations and opportunities in your life. Be open to His leading in the second half of the year.

Also, remember this: God has granted us the power and authority to speak things into existence, and it's important that our prayers align with His will. If you've never created a prayer board before, I suggest you do so. And yes, we will bring doing another one togetherā˜ŗļø.

Hang it where you can see it every day, reminding yourself that God is faithful to His word, incapable of lying, and has never failed!

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

ā€œTwo are better than one,

because they have a good return for their labor:

If either of them falls down,

one can help the other up.

But pity anyone who falls

and has no one to help them up.ā€

Numbers 23:19

ā€œGod is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should repent; has he said, and will he not do it? or has he spoken, and will he not make it good?"

Together, we can accomplish more for His kingdom and impact lives in ways we never imagined. Stay blessed and continue to walk in faith!

With love,

Natasha "The Prayer Closet Mama ā„¢ļø
