I Didn’t Bring Them Together… God Did.

Hey Prayer Closet Warriors,

I’m back with Part 2 and more details about this year’s retreat, “She Had Faith to Believe.”

One thing I’ve learned over the few years of hosting retreats, workshops etc is this: when God gives me a vision, He also begins highlighting specific women to me. And when that happens, I simply reach out and ask them to take it before God and seek Him about whether they’re meant to attend.

Now…Does it always unfold exactly the way I saw it in the vision? Do all the women I reach out to say yes? Do all the seats fill the way I imagined? Nope.

And I’ve had to grow in that. Abba often reminds me and I have to remind myself, that obedience is my assignment, not the outcome. My “yes” is to extend the invitation. My “yes” is to build what He showed me. My “yes” is to trust that the women who are meant to be in the room… will be in the room. Do I still wrestle with that sometimes? If I’m being honest, yes. But I’m in a much better place now as I continue walking this journey with Him.

Now let me share with you just how intentional God was in bringing my sisters Angela and Aykesha into this space this year…

They both looked at me and said, “Natasha, where did you find her?” And honestly… I was just as shocked as they were. Yes, there were a few things God had shown me beforehand, but not to the extent of what was unfolding right in front of me. As they began talking and discovering how much they had in common, I just sat there smiling. The way their stories aligned, the way they understood each other without needing to over explain, it was clear this wasn’t something I orchestrated. This was God.

The funniest part is, I met them both on social media! Angela on IG back in 2024, and Aykesha this year on TikTok and this was my very first time meeting either of them in person.

Back in 2024, I had DM’d Angela to let her know about a workshop I was hosting at the time and invited her into that space. She responded with so much excitement and began sharing a little about herself and her background. I actually went back and looked at our message thread yesterday, and I couldn’t help but smile, it was just so genuine.

Angela shared that she serves in her church as a missions program coordinator, and she’s also a transformational life coach with her own business and ministry called “Building the Queen Within.” And in that message she said to me, “If you need any assistance with anything you’re doing, please don’t hesitate to reach out.”

And let me tell you… she meant that.

Like I said, we only just met in person this year, but that didn’t stop anything. From the very beginning, there has been support, encouragement, and a genuine willingness to show up for one another. Angela has truly been a woman of her word. Any time I’ve needed help, guidance, or even just someone to talk something through with, she has been there. So when Abba placed it on my heart to ask her to be the special guest speaker for this year’s retreat… baby, her yes wasn’t hesitant, it was immediate.

Because it wasn’t just about her saying yes to me, it was her saying yes to God, to the assignment, and to the women who would be in that room.

What I love about meeting Aykesha and how Abba brought her into this space… it carried that same intentionality.

I had also DM’d Aykesha, inviting her to join my bookclub Bible, Books & Chocolate and letting her know what we were reading for that month and she joined. And when I tell you Abba has blown on this connection… y’all, listen.

It’s been nothing but encouragement, grace, alignment, and confirmation from the very beginning. What really took me out was when Aykesha shared how she even found my page. She told me it was a video I posted back in January of me praying in tongues that caught her attention. That one moment, that one act of obedience, is what led her here.

And that right there did something to me… listen, you never know what God is going to use to reach someone. What feels like a crazy moment of obedience to you can be the very thing God uses to draw someone in, to connect them, to position them exactly where they’re meant to be.

When I started sharing about the retreat, the Lord was literally drawing Aykesha in. She received confirmation after confirmation, and I didn’t have to do anything extra, it was already something God had established in her heart.

And the way the Lord showed up for Aykesha… whew! We were praying through some things because the enemy was really fighting my sister about getting to this space. There were delayed flights, canceled flights, one thing after another trying to block her from making it. But God!

He stepped in and made it clear, “I am your Defender. I am your Provider.” What the enemy meant to frustrate, delay, and discourage, God used to confirm. Every obstacle became another opportunity for Him to show His hand, to remind her that if He called her to be there, nothing could stop it. And that’s exactly what happened.

I absolutely love watching them together. The way they connect, the way they pour into one another, the way they were over there trying to figure out if they were actually related, naming relatives ready to get a DNA test, I was cracking up 😂

Nothing about it was forced, it was God-breathed. And when God brings people together, it’s intentional. It’s purposeful. It carries something deeper than what we can see on the surface.

I’ll be back with more soon so stay connected.

With love,

Natasha Bennett
