Happy Thanksgiving Closet Prayer Warriors!
My son’s first word was “Dada”, and I was kind of upset…I’m not even going to lie. Everyone kept telling me that it's just easier for him to say, but in my head I was like…”I carried this boy for 9 months, how dare he?” LOL🤣.
I said, “I want him to say momma now! Let’s get over this Dada phase quickly please! Welp, here I am now, Jiraiya is 23 months and saying “Mommy” is on repeat! Hahaha.
So here’s my question to you… are you really ready for what God has for you? As I was cleaning out my oven Wednesday afternoon it hit me. If Jiraiya would have said “Mommy” sooner. I wouldn’t have been ready to hear it, enjoy it and receive it.
I was in an unhealed space when Jiraiya said his first words. I hid it behind my smile, and carried a heaviness that wasn’t ready to receive the joy that came with Jiraiya’s growth.
God spared me and my son from the hurt that came with unhealed Natasha. He prepared me for hearing mommy over and over again. Don’t get me wrong, sometimes mommy does need a break from it but, for the most part I smile, laugh, and respond with patience + love!
Don’t get wrapped up in the next thing that you forget to enjoy your “now”. Be present in your waiting and trust God's timing. The last thing you want to do is rush ahead and miss out on the moments that are most important in that season.
I love you all and pray this blesses you!
Sincerely,
Natasha
